The Advisory Commission on Youth (ACOY) is committed to foster the programs and services for the benefit of Loudoun youth.
ACOY serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors with respect to the youth services of Loudoun County. Each Commissioner is appointed by the Supervisory form their district. There are also two at-large positions. The Chair and Vice Chair of YAC are voting members on ACOY.
ACOY meets on the fourth Monday of the month in the Leesburg Conference Room at the Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, Leesburg, VA 20176. There is a public comment period at the ACOY meetings which begins at 7 pm.
ACOY is one of the sponsors of Step Up, a youth-focused event that identifies youth and community priorities. Teens are challenged to identify an issue they feel most affects Loudoun youth. They develop a plan to address that issue and compete for scholarship prizes and recognition at Step Up.
